The 7200 on the other hand is a unique and almost magical headphone. Smooth and as luxurious sounding as they look but no detail missing from the audio spectrum. Just what I need for my particular circumstances; decent isolation in a noisier environment, beautiful style and build and a sound that I can listen to for hours of varied music.
Totally agree! Nowadays when I use other headphones I miss the wonderful tuning and smooth bass of the 7200

£324.74 with the discount applied for a used example which could be a decent festive bargain for anybody in the Uk looking to pick up a pair, condition dependent of course. Can't see there being too much wrong, if anything at all, with it's "very good" rating. I'd pick them up myself if I didn't already have a pair.
I bought mine "used" a couple of years back - it was still in the original wrapping

Folks, I made a head-fi review of various Dekoni Elite pads for Fostex TH and Denon AH series. My review was done with TH900ii but I hope it might be useful to some AH-D7200 owners as well.

lol I know this is the D7200 thread but by chance it worked out for me. I'm currently using Lawton TH900 and using Dekoni Elte Sheepskin + Attenuation ring. I liked the sound but was hoping vocal just to be a tad forward.

From your review it looks like Dekoni TH900 Hybrid pad might do the trick?

Otherwise thank you for the review! It's always nice to have sound tuning options!

With my stock TH900 red, hybrid pads slightly accent female vocal. I wouldn't say there's a noticeable difference with male. Velour pads emphasize vocals the most out of the four I tested, but I didn't like how they restricted macro dynamics due to drop off in bass and treble energy.

Thanks for checking the review!

I was thinking about this too would love to see some black wood cups on these or the fostex headphones maybe some black vinyl wrap could work .
Been looking at ATH wp900 instead in my shop can't get the Denon.. The Audio Technicas review very well I think a worthy substitute but maybe not as robust but definitely more portable
