Well.
The headband is comfortable but really hugh. Doesn't play well with small heads, i think.
I've wrapped a geekria headband cover with some extra padding to the headband and it fits good now.

Sure, i could've done this to the D7200 too to make the headband disappear.

On the other hand, the opening of the cups/pads are much smaller then the Quad ones and i've tall auricles. ^^

The Quad has matured as my reference in sound pleasure, i've to say.
With its unique sound signature it's a better fit for my musical pleasure than the D7200 and even the D9200.

Hard to explain bc everyone is hearing differently. :)

I owned the Alara, which likely isn't tuned much different from the Quads. It was a bit loose for me. What is this headband cover you mentioned?

It's this one

To gain a better fit, i've attached a piece of foam to the bottom of the headband.

Is the website geekria? I wouldn't mind finding a Quad. I know it fits my sonic preferences. Are the cup sockets 2.5mm or 3.5mm?
Yes, it is.
But for the headband you'll be directed to amazon, where i've bought it.

These are 3.5 stereo sockets, but you can use 3.5 mono plugs too (like the Denon cable).

I normally use the 7200 with daps: SR25 and Sony nwa55 in both cases excellent. I also have a dragonfly black and sometimes use it with my Ipad, excellent results with the 7200.

I wrote a full in-depth written review about the AH-D7200 headphones made by Denon :)

They are a nice V-Shaped towards balanced headphone, excellent aesthetics, and a really long cable that you probably will want to replace after getting them to pair them with more sources

Thanks for the review. I listen mainly to classical and love the 7200! I cannot compare with the headphones that you mention, but compared to my other headphones, 1989 Denon Ahd-900, Sennheiser HD599 and Sony wh1000xm3, the 7200 are my favorite by far.
