* Original Firmware

-----------------------------------------------------
v3.7 (June 01, 2023)
-----------------------------------------------------
* Improved Adaptive FIFO Buffer & Reclocking Architecture
* Reduced the effect of Buffer overrun/underrun due to the Source's Clock and the DAC's Clock differences

Hello,
The 9th februrary I bought a terminator plus 12th anniversary.

Currently I have this : DENAFRIPS USB Audio V3.12 TP3.5, is that normal ?

I'm asking because I see this in the 3 differents directories :
TP1.0.cfg
TP3.6.cfg
Tx22F3.7.cfg

So, nothing about TP3.5.
Can I rollback to the TP3.5 if I dislike the new sound ?

Thanks.

Regards

You need to ask Vinshine firmware team about this.
Yours is definitely different from my 2021 T-Plus that has 22E chip instead of 22F. I have only two versions.

Tx22E3.7.cfg
TERMINATOR_PLUS_EXLVDS-EP4CE22E-20230516-release3.7.fmc

Thanks Yitaro1. Looks like you got the same chip as gilof, 22F, so you both have 3 versions of firmware. In the same folder containing download links, , did it indicate when each version was released? My folder says V1.0 was Jan 01, 2020, and V3.7 June 01, 2023.

Hello to all of you!
Has anyone ever repaired a bricked Denafrips DAC using the recovery application? While updating the FPGA firmware, I bricked my Pontus II. As a result, I've been working with Denafrips to fix it for more than a month, but I still don't have access to music.
Please share your knowledge and discoveries.
Thanks

Released date matched for 22F. Another v3.6 showed Mar 2023.

I don't know if it's MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY, I think it's MM/DD/YYYY because the date of the last release was the 1st june 2023.
TP1.0.cfg -->11/01/2022
TP3.6.cfg-->03/08/2023
Tx22F3.7.cfg-->06/01/2023

It appears Denafrips has updated the Ares 12th chassis to aluminum and is now calling it the Ares 12th-1. On their site the new 12th-1 is the only option, look`s like they`ve discontinued the regular 12th edition only after several month`s. This change is said to match the new streamer in same chassis, release TBD.

True. I reported it two weeks ago in this forum. it is not only an aesthetic change but they also changed the power supply board. It is a period of great changes in D. We must expect - perhaps - who knows - a remote control and a rethinking of the whole line. That's how things go (imho)

The answer from Vinshine :

Good day to you! Thank you for reaching out. The TP3.5 firmware version currently installed on your DAC is similar to V3.61 in the FUT download link, so you can rollback to V3.61 if you dislike the new sound.

Regards.
