Has anyone done a comparison between this ZDAC-1 and the Wavelength Proton USB DAC?

Oh God! Is too late I read this post. Just grab a used Zdac1 ~1 yr old for USD 350 last week. Seem like is similar to Ebay part with some better connectors and good not nice looking casing. Initially I was thinking I got a great deal, but now I know why the guy willing to give so much discount for me. But anyway, since I did not paid for full price USD875, and it still look like new, and with casing + better grade chips from Decware, it should worth USD350 and beat those Ebay cheapo.

  The only problem I have with your post is that Steve is not "my buddy." Never met the man.  I think he and I have drastically different politics, not sure I'd "hang" with the man.  I HAVE supported his audio products because I've lived with many and KNOW how they sound.

did you compared once  ZDAC-1.  to a fostex hp a8 ? or neko d100 mk2 ?
