I'm going to buy entry level DAP. I've come across many searching for the right one and these are my favorites. I would like to have Tidal, but since it's only online, i can use it from phone so that doesn't matter. I only need 3.5mm output. And I need to use it as a DAC sometimes which both of support.

So which one should I choose and why?
If you know another DAP around 110$/€, let me know please

I had the HiBy R5 and it bricked on me.... Shanling might be the better option.
Have you thought about going for something like the BTR5 since you're going to use Tidal on your phone anyways? Also FiiO KA3 is a fantastic USB-DAC/amp.

I haven't used R2 but I do have Q1. My father uses it. For a device that size, it very good and quite powerful tbh. You cannot go wrong with that. Battery life is just so so.
