Hopefully the title says it all. I'm looking for a decent tube amplifier for my Ebony, Blackgold, closed Darth Beyers (v3). Hopefully some owners can speak up and suggest something?

Not looking for any flamers... I know a lot of you don't like the Darths...

They do pretty darned well with the Darkvoice 336SE, which is $300 shipped. Worked well with the WooAudio WA3 too, but that is a little higher than your budget.

I was hoping you would reply, Skylab. I trust your opinion... In comparison, if given a choice, would you pick the WA3 over the 336SE when paired with the Darths?

Both work well. The WA3 is a little better, but the 336SE is considerably cheaper. Such is life

Good tubes for the WA3 will also cost a little more (since you need 2 of the 6DJ8 versus one 6SN7).

Indeed - the DV337 is a great choice, and I use it with my deep-cup Darth Beyers every single day. However, it's well out of the OP's price range unless you get a good deal on a used one...

Another recommendation for the combination of Millet Hybrid and Closed Darth V3s. That is still my combo for kicking back and watching movies.

(Not comparing to the DVs though which I have never heard.)

Millet Hybrid x3

I have one. And it's freakishly AWESOME with the Darth Beyers! It's just plain awesome, period. I'm completely in love with mine

Skylab, I guess I should have checked prices on the 337 before opening my big mouth, eh? LOL

Millet Hybrid FTW!

Thank you for all the replies, you have all been very helpful. I was curious if it would be worth it to save up my money and invest in a balanced rig?

Off topic, but curious.
