That does seem like a great deal though. Too bad shipping to Australia would be murder.

hahahaha worth a try:p, I managed to fit my ie7s on with the M50s over it, since my envy has 2 headphone outputs I put the IE7 in one and and m50s in the other and wore them both  :)

the verdict: Well on the upside, better isolation, and you get a sennheiserath m50ie7 very unique indeed, on the downside: you look like a major douchebag

So these Turbines...How do they compare to the Senn IE-7? IMO The IE-7 lack the bass punch I'm looking for as well as the D2000 Sound....Any Opinions if the Turbines are more of my kinda headphone?

From what I've read it should be more "punchy" but from what I've read IE7 has better soundstage, why not opt for the IE8's? well apart from price I'm sure they'll be more than plenty for your bass requirements or if you're really on a budget the IE6 apparently it has more bass than the IE7.

It would be awesome if you strapped the subwoofer to your back, so that the bass tones would go right into your spine, like you were being repeatedly punched by a gargoyle. Then you can wear your M50's over your IE7's and call it a day.

I like the IE-7's but they cost me about $150. Yet I bought the ATH M50's for $100 and they sound so much better. So my new thing is Sound/Price. I would be considered a D2000 guy (Punchy bass and gets me in the music). I am thinking though I'm not up to spending $100+ on headphones ever again. So was wondering if these would compare to the D200's alot more than my IE-7's

for EU guys: we also have this deal on amazon.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B001LNO722/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&qid=1290209303&sr=8-1&condition=new
though it seems it is a new seller and has no votes yet, which worries me a little, they could be fake ones

Westone 3 with sub would be freaking amazing, albeit destroying most of the advantages the westone had, such as portability, not to mention everyone on the block would be able to hear the sub pound your house into pieces.

never mind, it seems those cant be delivered outside uk, i just noticed it :S.
anyway, i think for that price they are a good deal, a lot better than pl50's, and maybe worse than RE0 (haven't tried them) but still worth the money and moreover at that price.

How do you guys feel about these Turbines @ $60 shipped vs. the Panasonic RP-HJE900 @ $85 shipped (J&R.com w/ PREBFD5 coupon code)?

I'm looking for tight, accurate bass- I'm not not looking for over-exaggerated mid-bass or bloated bass. I'd would prefer some deep extension. In fact, all other things being in the roughly the same ballpark I'd prefer the pair that dug deeper. I'm used to a HT setup that has authority in the 15-25Hz region at 100dB+.

I'm looking for a reason not to jump on the Turbines at this price... and it's seems like the HJE900s might be what it takes.

FWIW, I'm looking at using these for the gym. Tunes that thump. If there's a better <$100 bassy suggestion, throw it out there- I'm open to anything.
