I don't know if anyone saw this, but check out the Stereophile website.  There's a photo of willsw at the Linear Tube Audio display table.  It's in the article titled 'Axponia: Herb's First Day'.  We have a famous person in our group.  I hope he remembers the little people from his past?

I got an Ether C in, burning in currently. I don't have a good amp to drive it with tho, so if anyone would like to team up to see how it sounds on something nice lemme know! I'm in Silver Spring MD and work in Bethesda. Otherwise I'll bring it to the next moot I make it to.

Guys - please wish for speedy recovery for @schneller.
He was in a bad bike accident - people are crazy in the city. He is going through post-surgery therapy and recovery

Thanks everyone. Always wear a helmet. It saved my life.

Long story short, I broke both elbows after a car cut me off as I was riding in the bike lane on L St. NW between 17th and 16th. I hit the brakes and flew over the handlebars, hitting the pavement first with my arms and then head and body. I didn't hit the car and the car didn't stop. The good news is that my surgeon and physical therapist are some of the best in the country when it comes to being hand/elbow specialists. I have been in little pain and am well on the long road to recovery.

Get well soon. It really is rough in the city. My co-worker had an accident on his bike and ended up breaking his neck. Luckily he completely recovered. You will too. Hang in there.

That is really scary. I'm glad to hear you're going to come out of it OK. Best luck with your recovery. I enjoy cycling myself and that is a nightmare scenario.

Wow. It can be dangerous out there for cyclists. I once flew over the handlebars of my bike as a kid. Totally my fault as I was fooling around and my shoelace got tangled up in the front wheel. My face put up a pretty good fight, but I think the pavement won that round. I hope you have a speedy and trouble-free recovery.

In making the case for wearing a helmet, it is not always noted that the most common "failure modes" for bike riding involve flying over the handlebars... head first.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Maybe you'll learn to put on your headphones with your feet.

It has arrived!  http://imgur.com/a/JDDNI

Immediate impressions: I keep expecting stuff to just sound the same as my 10.33 but it doesn't. More detail, more impact. Bass is extremely tight and fast as I listen with my HE-500 w/Focuspads.  The HD650s low bass also really tightened up and had more texture.  Pretty happy so far.  The volume scale is bizarre though, most of the power/gain isn't available for the first 70 steps on the dial.  You could easily murder someone with the remote they includes, its a solid aluminum club.

I wonder, regarding the volume, if they are trying to do something similar to the Grace Design using a logarithmic volume - I actually liked it because it gave you lots of power at the high end and lots of delicate control at the low.

Four-channel 100 steps digitally controlled relay-based volume control avoids channel imbalance and improves sound quality.

Or you could say similar to the Ragnarok, though probably without the clicks

And further reading, I see they call it exponential.

It's quite bigger than your previous Audio-GD. The size stands out when stacked like that.

Has it been approved by the furry brigade?
