That does sound cool, I will look into it. I'm not a huge fan of Slayer, but I do like them.

I won't be getting it since they don't have any material from 1st two SLAYER albums.........what were they thinking!!!!

If you take 1st album "show no mercy" and add "haunting the chapel EP" you will have the greatest speed metal album of all time.........get on it guys!

Except those were Trash Metal albums.

Stuff like Megadeth is speed metal.

I don't know, Slayer is kind of lame to me, like a water-down version of Venom, blah!

Just a quick note.
I got my order from The End just as I was leaving for work on Wednesday. 7 CDs. I took them with me.
Grimfist- Ghouls of Grandeur. Pretty good stuff. The drummer is the guy from Immortal. The vocals are the yell, growly style, for the most part. Nice variations in songs and vocal throughout the album.

Why have I not heard anything about Immortal - Damned in Black? This is good album from what little I have gotten to listen to.
More later, I'm tired right now.

Nacher........prepare to be jealous
Another rare score from CM sale for me was:

THYRANE - Symphonies of Infernality

I know Nacher is big Thyrane fan and this early album is their best, I have not seen it for sale previously. I really like other two also (hypnotic + rebellion) but this eclipses both of them for me 9.5/10............Nacher do you have this? he he.

PD
I also have IMMORTAL "damned" album and it is good but "SOND + heart of winter" are even better for me.

Of course I have Thyrane - Symphonies of Infernality. It found it from the local mall, he he :P. I agree that it's a godlike album. Wonder why I never recommended it to you, hmm.

Grimfist - Ghouls of Grandeur
I am not good at describing music, please bare with me.

This is similar to The Crown and At The Gates in style of music. Except vocals are way different. Some songs the vocals are really deep growly stuff yelled at you, then other songs have some clean power metal vocals mixed in with yelled vocals. When I listen to this I get reminded of everything from Bloodbath to At The Gates and The Crown. One thing for sure this is not a boring album. Fast and not so fast songs. Screaming vocals, low guttural vocals, even lower and slower vocals, clean vocals (okay not much in the clean department), and some yelling vocals. Music that rips along at the speed of light, with some heavy slow riffs here and there. They do play well. I am not a big fan of those yelling growly vocals. If I was, this would be a favorite album. The music is great. I dare say these guys play better than The Crown, or At The Gates.

The name of the album is rather lame, but the music most definitely is not.

Heads up guys,

A few weeks ago I was e-mailing the end about getting some spanish metal bands on their site, they actually did! How's that for service? Spain's metal scene is really kicking ass, but not too many people even are aware of it, so I guess I better talking about here. All descriptions are my own.

TIERRA SANTA - Indomable

Tierra Santa's songs are all in spanish. This is the latest CD. They kind of sound like Iron Maiden's faster songs, if I had to put a name on them. But they really have a sound all of their own. If you like your power metal heavy and melodic as all hell without any high pitch silly vocals, then this is for you. This is one of the top bands in Spain right now.

DARK MOOR - ST

This is their new album. Dark Moor has a female singer. They play epic neo-classical metal. By that it has a LOT of classical style song elements. Their skill level is really amazing. If Bach, Mozart and Paganini decided to form a metal band, it would sound like this

Yes it does have high pitch vocals, but it's a woman singing, so what do you want? All songs are in English.

MAGO DE OZ - Gaia + DVD

Mago de Oz is the biggest metal band in Spain and Europe for that matter as far as sales goes. I would label them as Celtic Folk Metal. Heavy use of violin and flute, and even accordions and bagpipes! The fiddler actually plays most of the solos. No one else plays this style of metal. All their albums are worth getting, but most are extremely hard to find. This one is not cheap, but it does bring a DVD. All the songs are in spanish.

I haven't really heard them. I also "forgot" U.M.S. for the same reason. I am sorry to say, but I have been disconected from the local escene for some time.

We have talked about 100's of albums already, but this is debut album by DRACONIAN just released (with some demos previously)
When I read in description "B/B simliar to Tristania" that was enough for me............I must have!

Some slight disappointments
These are keepers just received, but was expecting more from these:
DARKANE - Rusted Angel 7/10
This has gotten nothing but great reviews everywhere I look, but doesn't rank very high on my list, my only album by Darkane pretty average in my book.

NAGLFAR - Diabolical 7/10
After putting out masterpiece like "vittra" seems no-brainer to get hard to find debut "diabolical" but this falls short of later work, again pretty average.

Add these to your list, I found two excellent B/B albums at Dark Symphonies for $10 each:

DRASTIQUE - Pleasureligion
NICODEMUS - Lovelorn and Necromantic

Both of these are excellent and solid 9/10 material, newest Nicodemus "supernatural omnibus" is also pretty good 8/10 but not as good as 1st album listed above.
