Dapper for Mac updates: App to sync iTunes with your DAP

All, as an update. I know a lot of you are using the SanDisk 200or 128GB cards. Some testing reveals they aren't that great compared to the new 256GB Samsung EVO Select cards:

SDCard Reader:

I recommend the Lexar Professional Workflow UR2 Three-slot microSDHC/microSDXC UHS-II USB 3.0 Reader - LRWUR2TBNA which is on Amazon for around $40

SDCard:

I recommend the Samsung 256GB 95MB/s EVO Select Micro SDXC Memory Card (MB-ME256DA/AM) card available on Amazon for $199

With the recommended cards and a reader I get speeds around 55-60MB/s. With a 200GB SanDisk card I get only 10MB/s.

1hr to sync 128GB

2.65 will be up in a day or so. It fixes a bug that could have caused Dapper to crash. I think this (hopefully) will be a stable release for a while.

Please jump on the review bandwagon and review it on the app store once its up.

I've only just found Dapper. Looks great for managing music from iTunes. But I can't manage all from iTunes because some of my music is 24bit Flac.
Is there a way in Dapper to manage only a sub folder on my DAPs SD? That way on my walkmans SD I could have a folder called iTunes in Music and one called manually managed

There is a function in the utilities tab that allows you to select an "external music folder" - you would select the root folder for your Flac music and it'll sync that.

OR you could use FLACTunes which will convert FLAC to ALAC with zero loss.

Have a look at the manual - and grab a demo version at www.map-pin.com

Thanks, I think syncing an external folder will prob do what I want. But really I would like to manually manage a folder if possible. It would be great if Draper could sync a subfolder so if could leave a folder and move things in. Is that possible as a feature request?

Great, thanks. I'll give it a go, sounds like Dapper is the app I've always wanted!
Nice to know the demo is 30 days but I've got a feeling I'll be buying it after a couple of days of playing about

Tried syncing to a subfolder. In settings I set the music folder as MUSIC/iTunes. When the slider is to the left to sync to internal then it syncs fine. But I want to go to the SD card.
But when I move the slider to the right to go to SD, it syncs the music to the subfolder of music ok like before but when finished deletes the folder for some reason.

Am I doing this correctly or is it a bug?

This is working for me on my test system - can you contact me on support.map-pin.com and we can figure it out.

All,

You can now buy the reference card I use for all my super fast transfers - a Samsung EVO 256GB for $139.99 or even $129.99 with enough backers on MassDrop.

I really like dapper. I have a Sony nwzx-100. Having a little difficulty being able to use the Micro sd card. It can only read the internal storage or card stone time. I can't select the player only can read one card at a time option in dapper. When I click this the box won't stay checked. I believe my dap functions just like the a17 series Walkman.
