A relative of mine had a pair of triple fi's and didn't like the comfort (just my luck) and passed them on to me. After a few weeks with them i noticed the left channel would cut out occasionally. Ive tried flipping the cable to see if it's an issue with the connector but it doesn't seem to be. Is there any way i can attempt to diagnose the problem and repair it myself, or failing that is there any professional repair service I could consult?

I can get them to function if i squeeze the middle of the earpiece where the blue gunmetal connects to the black plastic, which is somewhat odd. I've opened up the earpiece and can't detect any damage internally.
