I do agree that brightness of ANY color LED and be troublesome when very bright. Too bad many units do not have a control to lessen the brightnes, lucky that my preamp and amp do have such a control...

Then Stello is perfect, 2 LED colors. One red, one green =]

Not the best photo, but hopefully enough for you to get the idea. The Chord DAC64's round window lights up with red, blue, purple and yellow lights, depending on status.
