I know I should get a DAC based on it's SQ...but the Beresford TC7510 has a greeeeeen on light and a red function light and although I like the sound coupled with the SB3, I would like blue led's. Blue is so sexy...even the new oppo cdp has blue lights and blue will match up very nicely with my Emotiva separates.
so which DAC's have blue lights?...I have been looking at the CI VDA2 although the stello DA100 probably is where my ears are at? Looks do matter...

Just buy what you want and mod it.

Buy yourself some blue LEDs and solder them on. 5 minute job, if that. Then you can have the best of both worlds; SQ and Blue LEDs.

Take a voltage reading off of the existing so you buy ones with proper rating.

Blue LEDs are way too common, in my opinion. They've almost become a standard or something, and for me the cool LED effect wore off ages ago due to this. We need more red, green, orange, purple, etc. LEDs on our gear!

I agree, though I think a more important issue is the brightness of the LED's. I don't mind high end equipment to have blue led's, but if they're eye-blindingly bright, I am rather disappointed.
