DAC recommendation with balanced/unbalanced outputs

lavry DA10 too, but they both share the xlr output ... switching bw unbalanced and balanced reqs popping the hood and changing a jumper

i only see balanced outputs on the DA10. i don't get how that works, you would need an amp that accepts balanced inputs no? or some kind of adapter?

IIRC, the DA10 and DA11 work by switching a jumper inside to float either the positive or the negative pin (you choose) and then making use of an XLR -> RCA adapter. Maybe the DA11 has a toggle button on the front to do this; I can't remember clearly.

The DA10 requires the user to either open the chassis and et jumpers as shown in the manual, or to use the proper adapter or wiring.

The DA11 enables the user to switch between balanced, unbalanced pin 2 hot or unbalanced pin 3 hot. The user does that from the front panel.

The DA11 comes with a pair of XLR to RCA adapters for those that want to use RCA type connection.
