I'm putting together my system piece by piece. I am playing FLACs on my macbook and CDs on my Esoteric/TEAC SA-10, each through (wince) the pico, which is holding its own for now. I have a couple of things on order that will relegate the Pico to portable status: a Zana Deux SE and the new Red Wine Isabellina DAC/Amp (it's the Isabellina DAC).
The macbook will obviously run through the Isabellina to the Zana Deux. The question is what to do with the CD player -- go through the Isabellina, or use the internal DAC and go straight to the Zana Deux?
For what it's worth, I mostly use GS1000s.
I'm excited about setting all of this up and want to be waiting at the door with the most likely cables in hand. Of course, I'll play around with a thousand things (tubes!) after it arrives and come to my own conclusions, but I'm interested to hear what you think (is the answer obvious?). Thanks.
