Still 0 reviews regarding sound quality
Not so many people already got it:)
And not so many people have a lot of devices for comparison:)

My k17 would come only today. And I could compare only with Fiio K9 pro (AKM), and Teac ud-701.

If someone wish to send me (in Berlin) 1k devices, I could of course compare sound quality.

I would be interested in any comparisons. So if it's not difficult for you, please write what do you think about the sound of the K17, and also if you can, compare its sound to the K9AKM (by memory) and UD-701 👍🏻.

I just noticed the same issue on my unit as well. Switching between PRE and PO the screen still says the gain is in L but turning the knob to M and then back to L in both instances reduces the volume on my IEMs.

As for the self-noise of the unit, there is none that I can hear with the IEMs that I own. Even on UH gain and the volume set to 100, the noise floor is completely silent coming from the 4.4mm output. The K17 also supports UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0, you can switch between the two in the settings menu.

We most likely won't have an answer from FiiO until after February 10th, for Chinese New Year.

I hope they can fix it via software update as the switching seems to be not analog rather digital just like in Fiio K9 pro AKM.
My unit start to auto switch between HPO to Line out randomly and when it happens the gain is missing aligned as well, happened mostly when the gain was high. Every time it happened I heard some clicking sound from inside of the unit.
I informed Fiio support they just gave a driver which had delay for 2 sec while switching it worked for few months then the unit gave up and now is constant on headphone out even If switch to DAC or pre mode.
Luckily there is no other issue since then but I cannot use line out or pre out and high gain. As still on high gain the switching start again randomly at few mins very annoying.

Was looking to upgrade to K17 but now will wait till they fix this switching/clicking issue on K17.

Heard no such issue on K19 or R7 or R9 I think but other have experienced it on them they can also share their experience.

Can someone with K17 check whether it's possible to assign an EQ preset per input/output combo? eg. I'd like to have an eq profile set for the headphone out, but also a different eq for either rear line out or optical for my active monitors. I'd like to avoid messing around with the menus to change the eq aside from switching the inputs/outputs themselves.
