Forbes has on article on the K17, where they state the price will be $899. Hopefully, we can purchase it before the Lunar New Year. Otherwise it might have to be a month after that before we will see stock.

What are the streaming capabilities? Does it support Tidal Connect or DLNA, Upnp services?
Dear friend,

It supports Airplay and Roon ready. DLNA or Tidal connect is not supported by K17.

Best regards

FIIO K17 features an M21586Q DSP chip which is capable of double-precision 64-bit floating-point calculations, and runs at a high 360MHz clock frequency. This chip is complemented by a high-performance ES9821Q ADC as well as a specially customized ultra-low phase noise femtosecond crystal oscillator. These three components allow the user, in all modes, to utilize the 31-band high-precision lossless PEQ. The PEQ is designed to ensure the audio signal is still of high fidelity even after being processed.

When using the K17’s PEQ tuning function, PCM 44.1k~96k signals can be processed without sample rate conversion. Fine adjustments of audio parameters are thus possible, allowing for adjustments such as a gain range of +12~-24dB and a Q value range of 0.4dB~128dB. The PEQ allows the user to simulate or correct the frequency response curve PEQ settings can be easily exported, imported, shared, and saved - making it easy for anybody to use the PEQ and correct or simulate various frequency response curves of different headphones.

There is 1 day left before the launch of Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier K17. Let’s stay tuned!

Is the ADC always active? If PEQ is disabled, does an input signal from a separate DAC bypass the ADC and go directly to the amplifier section?

So the FIIO K17 is using multiple AKM DAC Chips? K19 uses ESS. btw, What does Output: 4000mW + 4000mW. actually mean? 4000W into 32ohm HP for Balanced and SE inputs? I'm just curious if this has the power to drive something like a Susvara, HE6se and Modhouse Tungsten? That Black version of the K17 looks really nice

So right now it looks like the unit disappeared from the EN mutation of FiiO web. The direct link can still be opened, but I can not see any reference from the main page…🤷‍♂️

This is not looking good 😬

First time developing a discrete amplifier which is much harder to design. Hopefully the outcome is positive.
