Question for K17 owners, I have just ordered a K17 does anyone know if when using local playback from a USB stick for example if it is possible to sort tracks by album artist?

hi, sorry, K17 doesnt support tracks by album artist now. We will try our best to add it in the future.

Hey everyoen just received my k17 today, im pulling my hair out trying to access eq on computer or the app.

Ive connected it to wifi , still doesnt come up as an option on the app from my phone. I.e. connect wifi to k17 and mobile on same network.

I can connect with bluetooth but then i open up Fiio control there is just a blue box appears as k17 and it constantly has a loading circle. It never adds the unit?

I have almost updated to latest Firmware and retested it too

Control App still doesnt work

If you use the FiiO Control app (on your smartphone) and switch to controlling a 'DAP' at the bottom. It should show the IP address (and name) of the K17 (assuming it is on your wifi or wired home network). Once you add it - it then appears on the FiiO Control list of devices - simple click on it and you should have access to the PEQ. The bluetooth mechanism doesn't work with the K17.

Alternatively (and it is a bit more complicated) but you can download the FiiO app (for example from the Mac App Store on a MacBook Pro) and assuming you connect the USB on your computer to the correct USB input on the back (there are 2 only one works for EQ ) - The Laptop should see the K17 and allow you edit all the profiles and filters.

Note: You might need to make sure you are on the latest firmware also.

Hi, what is your firmware version of your K17 and FIIO control. Pls click the 'Player' in FIIO control as below. You can also try hotspot.

Joining the FiiO K17 club, firmware updates done, sitting back with a cuppa and enjoying the sound from the FiiO K17 (local playback) very impressive, sounds fantastic with both the Sennheiser HD660S2 and Beyerdynamic DT-1770Pro headphones

I have joined the party too. Mine arrived a few days ago. Still in the burning in phase, but already out of the box, it sounds great with my AT R50x and Tago Studio TC3-1. The TC3-1 is great without EQ, the pop EQ preset makes the R50x sound more dynamic. The remote control is really convenient too. Currently still waiting for a slightly higher monitor/LCD stand, so the K17 can fit under my screen.

Yeah I was concerned too but the latest firmware had addressed everything I personally need. So far very good.

Enjoy. For what it's worth, I could update the main firmware via Mac without any hiccups, but the MCU update still doesn't seem to work on MacOS. Same story that had been reported a couple of pages back: The K17 doesn't seem to recognize that it had been disconnected from the Mac, and hence won't commence the update. After some time, you just get a "time out" error message. Still optimistic that Fiio will address this problem in a future update.

Congrats, to be honest since the latest firmware updates the K17 is actually pretty good, I certainly haven't had any issues with mine.
