Modi Multibit + Magni 3 is nice too but it's 2 separate units instead of one like the NFB 11/R2R 11.
With the NFB 11 and R2R 11, if they are hooked up to powered monitors through their pre-outs you don't have to unplug your headphones to use the powered monitors but on the Schiit Stack you have to.
I think the NFB 11 is pretty much all you need in an all in one unit.

I've done plenty of research on stuff like this and it seems the NFB is loved by so many people, and I've seen more love for that than the M&M stack. Ordering it is a pain Ive heard but it should be worth it
I would very much like a detailed breakdown of the NFB-11 vs the R2R-11. So far I've only seen people say that the R2R sounds warmer.
On Audio-GD's website it says that the NFB-11 is detailed and dynamic whereas the R2R sounds exotic and smooth. Detailed and dynamic goes well my K712 but exotic and smooth sound nice....
I am soon to upgrade to an Audio-GD DAC/Amp from my O2+ODAC and my eyes are locked onto the NFB and R2R but there's literally no detailed comparisons out there.

The ODAC and NFB-11.28 both use Sabre DAC chips, so any real world improvement in audio quality might be small (for the DAC function).
(the NFB-11.28 does come with a higher end and newer DAC chip)
So my two cents is to get the Darkvoice 336SE OTL tube headphone amplifier ($214-$250) and keep using the ODAC.
Use the O2 for lower impedance headphones.

Thank you for the suggestion on the Darkvoice but the NFB-11 is a MUST for my needs.
I need an DAC/Amp combo that is powerful, has USB and Optical inputs and has pre-outs for powered monitors and allows switching between headphone and speakers without unplugging the headphones. The NFB-11 meets all these requirements and I have not yet found another combo that can do this for around the same price.

So far I've bought 3 DAC/amps from Audio-GD, no regrets.
I use my NFB-11.28 with my PC, stand alone Blu-ray player and Comcast TV box.
And I've connected the NFB-11.28's line-output to my Darkvoice 336SE (RCA to RCA)
