Good day folks, I hope you are doing well.
I need advice as to which DAC and Amp I should use to get the bets out of HE-500 headphones. please don't feel you have to spend all of my cash! but the budget is around $800.
my source is a computer with a poor sound card. I have the SE535 IEMS running from the soundcard right now (and I also use it with my sansa clip+)

I listen to a lot of classical music but I listen to other genres as well.

please let me know

Thanks

A buddy brought over his HE-500s and NFB-10.2 a couple months ago and this setup was great.  Outstanding sound and it spanked the HE-500s.

More choices to think about and below your budget.  The NFB-10.2's usb was replaced by the usb32 which is great and is now the NFB-10.32

Cheers!!!

Thank you for the recommendation.
why should I get the non usb model? my computer has only usb .

can nuforce Icon HD drive them? how about WA7 or PanAm

I just said non-usb since it would fit your budget. If you opt for the USB model then it's another 150 on top of the price. PanAm and WA7 would sing with the HE-500s! Not so sure about the nuforce though.
