Not sure if its ever been discussed, I've looked but couldn't find any other threads, but basically want to know from people who have listened to both which they preferred and why?
 
 Which had overall more bass or presented it better? I have never heard the d7000's but I do own the xb1000's and personally think they are unrivaled in how deep the bass reaches and how clean the bass hits and slams, I prefer their bass even more so than the much vaunted LCD 2's bass which is incredible in its own right but falls short in comparison to Sony's
 
tldr: can the xb1000's bass be toppled?

XB1000 bass is toppled by XB500 and XB700. I had the XB1000, too bright and lacking a fun bass, all marketing.

While youre entitled to your opinion, I also remember you being the only person on this site (or anywhere else really) to describe them as such
 
 
"bright" is the last word i would use to describe them

The XB1000 have to bumps in areas that are known to be quite fatiguing. The bass output is subjectively AND objectively less than the XB500 and XB700. I highly suggest you compare them side by side. I hope this helps....
