I think a different Pot. will change the Frequency I think the Lower the # the more bass response the higher the less bass more highs... I might be wrong about this? If anyone knows please correct this...

Do you really need 4 back-to-back posts in the same thread within minutes of each other? Also, had you seen what a D2 Viper looks like, you'd know they don't use an Alps RK27 pot, they use an RK097 series. Your claim about bass or whatever else is pretty far-fetched, different brands have different quality, yes, but as for bass response has nothing to do with pot impedance, unless of course you're using the amp with a source that has too-small output caps in which case a low impedance pot will actually have less bass as it will be cut off. There should be no effect on the highs.
