D2 and IEMs - inline impedence boost?

I won't even use my sf3's without 50 ohms added to them. There is way too much hiss in my players to use them.

In addition to removing hiss, adding resistance cures the bass rolloff of my sf3's. They sound great.

The gain on the D2's amp (and other daps) is set way too high for high sensitivity, low impedance phones IMO. Make an adapter and listen for yourself.

The easiest way would be to make an extension and solder them into that. Maybe not the most convenient but it works.

What I did was take apart the Y split on my SF3's and soldered one 50ohm resistor on each signal line. Works great and no extra bulk added.

Or try the etymotic p-s adapter which is 75 ohms. Pricey? though.

Thanks. I have the extension cord for my D1000's (that I never use) so I think I will try putting a 50ohm resistor on each signal line to test out the sound. See if it will be worth further efforts.
