I wonder if one of them is a planar, since they are spec’d 2 Hz to 44 kHz?

For anyone who cares. Someone on Youtube opened up his own iem:
1DD, 2BAs.
Who knows what kind of BAs he used. Symphonium iems are the best BAs driven iem you can get and since they are Singapore based as well, maybe they made some deals. But then again, Volume S are 1DD&1 passive, 2 BAs and sound incredible...Wow, he got pretty decent treble response with only 2BA? That’s insanely good

Haven't opened mine yet... I am enamored with the Giant, and since those arrived a week after, it makes me feel like I am cheating with my GiantExactly what I expected. It’s a great set, but you can’t hide the nature of the drivers too much. In fact it felt weird reading people thinking about micro-planar drivers for treble. I’m glad my hearing still works well
I wonder what drivers is he using, the fact he said it could cost “400$” made me think he might use all Sonion drivers…but at this point I don’t think that’s true, cost estimations might be driven by the cable, case and the choice of aluminum for the shell, plus the R&D to get proper Meta tuning with just 3 drives.
I’m still very happy with this purchase!
My meta were lucky enough to show up 2 days before my giants. They've been shelved since then.Haven't opened mine yet... I am enamored with the Giant, and since those arrived a week after, it makes me feel like I am cheating with my Giant.
Well yeah, Giant sounds so amazing I am so afraid to be really disappointed about the Meta...My meta were lucky enough to show up 2 days before my giants. They've been shelved since then.
You won't be. They're very different from each other and excellent in their own way.Well yeah, Giant sounds so amazing I am so afraid to be really disappointed about the Meta...
It’s 3.3 times more expensive though…I don’t get the disappointment bit…Well yeah, Giant sounds so amazing I am so afraid to be really disappointed about the Meta...
Disappointment because as most of the buyers, it was an impulse buy before watching the reviews. And I get remorse because in the meantime I got the 3.3 times more expensive one which is much more to my taste ( warm sounding iem ) while I have to take care of a family of four... So need to downsize for the holiday tripIt’s 3.3 times more expensive though…I don’t get the disappointment bit…
Oh man, buyer’s remorse is the worst. I completely get what you mean…that’s why I started putting some serious “spending caps” to my pocket moneyDisappointment because as most of the buyers, it was an impulse buy before watching the reviews. Love this hobby but goodness it's hard on the wallet.
It's a hard life dealing with a quite newly hobby and family chores for sure. spending caps sounds like a remedy for my soulOh man, buyer’s remorse is the worst. I completely get what you mean…that’s why I started putting some serious “spending caps” to my pocket money![]()
Yeah, I'm still holding out hope that I wasn't totally wrong about guessing it used at least one planar in there. Haha!Microplanars look exactly like BAs, just saying.
Nope. Read Crinacles latest post on Reddit where he basically confirmed 1dd 2 BA. He comes across as lecturing and arrogant when called out on the value proposition.Yeah, I'm still holding out hope that I wasn't totally wrong about guessing it used at least one planar in there. Haha!
