MSRP - $249.99 limited to 999 units (now sold out)

Noticed there wasn't an official thread for the CrinEar Project Meta! I loved Meta's overall tuning and spaciousness. Great midrange tuning, well-extended treble, and the accessories/packaging were stellar.

I managed to get one yesterday. Looking forward to trying it. Was a bit of a blind buy given no reviews came out before it was up for sale. I was concerned that it was going to be poorly reviewed like the recent Blue 2 (that I canned a preorder of). Thankfully the reviews have (so far at the time of writing) all been very positive. Joe at @GadgetryTech has almost identical tastes to me so thankfully his review gives me confidence in my purchase. Roll on Daybreak and Reference.

Congrats on snagging one! Apparently Daybreak and Reference will be in continuous production once they release so no need to camp by the computer at launch hoping to snag a pair.

I heard the Crinear Meta at nyc canjam, great listen. I was shocked to see the first 500 units sold out in 40 minutes and then the second batch of 500 units sold out in 26 minutes!! Better reception than I thought there’ll be. Congrats to Crin and his team on the launch.

I have not watched any of the videos on this unit. But nothing in the reviews or company materials mentions what the underlying technology is. I assume a single DD driver?
Hiya, I don’t think driver configuration has been shared by CrinEars.

Amazes me that people can write a review and not talk about the merits of the construction or components. Turns out there is even a Reddit thread asking the same question -- what is in this thing?

Well it is sold out and I am unlikely to chase this so time to move on.

Seems like the key feature is the tuning target.
