Unfortunately there is no guide anywhere, but the disassembly looks quite straight forward. There's a bunch of good photos on the FCC ID website here...

The last photo shows the inside of the player with the battery. Specs of it are shown on the battery. Quick google might find you a similar battery.

Sounds correct. I would disassemble your own Plenue unit and check. I can imagine these were common across the Plenue range,
