OK, I have to get a long USB chord but I could compare the Transporter DAC to the Cantate USB. I don't want to unplug the Cantate and carry it to my computer room.
IMO the TP is one of the best DACs around so if the Cantate comes anywhere close it would make the Cantate a very good DAC, indeed. If the Cantate doesn't suck in comparison it might indicate it's DAC is good value.
I love the Cantate as a headphone amp.
I know this isn't the comparo everyone is looking for but I don't have other USB dacs. It is also unfair to compare a 2,000 TP to a 535.00 Cantate, but whoever said life is fair
OTOH it will probably be fun and could fill the void till someone has the right units to compare.
