i can get Shanling S100 within HK$1000.

T100 is completely different in quality / price !!!

are u sure u know WHAT IS T100 tube output CD-PLAYER ? usd$2000 is reasonable price..

if T100 == HK$2000, could u do me a favor? plz purchase and send me 10 sets then i'll mail u HK$25000 ok?

I've always thought the Oracle was very cool too. Though I've never seen a review, or a price. I supect I was AFRAID to find out the price! <g>

What screwed me up was those two extra boxes that don't show up until the third picture in the initial link I posted. I think they're the volume control. I wonder if it's all integrated, or if one can purchase those separately.

Hey, I won US$141 dollars the other day (spent half that). (Scratches furiously...)

I think the 2 other boxes are matching amplifiers. I recently auditioned the T-100, and those boxes weren't present. The CD player also has an integrated amplifier in it eliminating the need for a preamp. You also have the option of a solid state output, or a tube output. (I prefered the sound of the solid state) The player also has a decent headphone jack, but at a high volume there was noticable distortion, and I prefered the sound of my Maxed Out Home anyway.

Then why does the left one have a "VOL" on its display? Not flaming, a sincere question...look at #8 on the main page. Why does it have a separate part number?

Okay, that answers that question -- Vert was right about them being amps. Thanks for the link.
