I'm getting an Ibasso DX220 Dap. Thare's a mod to the balanced amp module that is supposed to sound fantastic. Thinking of doing it. But---my good cables are 3.5mm. Is it doable converting them to balanced? I'm good with a soldering iron.

Balanced needs 4 connectors. If your cables have 4 wires you can do it. If they have three wires you'll need new cables.

Both of cables are braided, so I'm pretty sure they are 4 conductors. PW Audio no.10 and ISN Ag8

If you make a TRRS mod and have 4 conductor cables it should work.

man---I was looking at connectors---$30 each? There has to be something cheaper

could try cosmic cables for 4.4mm connectors but I would recommend CEMA ElectroAcousti on AE
