How hard will that $100 craftsman and $70 coleman blow air compared to the cans of compressed air you buy? And how loud are they?

The $70 Coleman should o/p 80 to 100 psi. It will be fairly noisey as will all direct drive compressors.

Just posted in another forum, but try using a portable air tank. I've been using one for years for dustin, cleaning and filling tires. Cost about $50 altogether for the tank from Walmart, and the fitting and hose kit from Harbor Freight.

I also use a lot of compressed air.

I wear glasses. mine are anti-reflective. they're a PITA to clean.

but once I found the secret, its easy

think 'touchless car wash' (lol). soap up the lenses, rinse under water then dry with compressed air and you have brand-new-clean glasses.

try it

A/Rs were too delicate for me for everyday use. I do keep a pair as "nighttime sunglasses" though. My glasses have scratch coated plastic lenses that are going on 11 years old.

a/r is a PITA to clean and make perfect if you use towels. but the air-dry method makes them perfect and spotless. just don't shake the can and get propellant out on the a/r coating

it really does do a good job. people with a/r glasses should give this a try. standard glasses cleaning (whatever cleanser you use) but air dry them with compressed air instead of wiping them dry. see if you like it better. it removes the - uhh - veil. (lol)
