That may have been the ATH-MSR7 that was kindly lent by the guys on the Audio-Technica stand. I was so impressed I bought a pair to upgrade my aging M50's.

Hi,

Correct.

They were these.

Close-up here:

They came out in Oct 2014 so they are only a few months old. We also demo with Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 which are noise-cancellation headphones and work fab with the nano components.

We were that impressed with the ATH-MSR7 that we demo'd them on the Big Rig and on the Stereo 50. Back to back agianst the Audezes and HiFi Man headphones. Of course they were not as good but they more than held their own.

For £200 retail, they are pretty good. We get to play with a fair few headphones and these impressed us.

Just our 2 cents.

Would the Retro's DAC and HP amp section be different from the Pro iDSD? What would be the differences, if any?
