I don't know if there's a refined open-back that gives you as much bass as the closed-back Meze 99. If you want a bassy open-back that's somewhat refined there's the Philips Fidelio X2. If you want to trade in some of that bass boost for some further refinement, there's the Sennheiser HD58X Jubilee, which still has respectable bass response for an open-back. Either way, most open-back headphones in this price range will emphasize mid-bass over sub-bass.

DAC wise, the Schiit Modi Multibit is relatively pricey, but it's a very solid DAC that has a bit of lift in the sub-bass area. So if your open-back headphone's sub-bass response rolls off, it will add that back into your sound. Then there's the Cavalli Liquid Spark, which is a warm-ish headphone amp. Bass isn't about just the headphone. By pairing a bassy headphone with a warm DAC/amp chain, you can get even more kick in the low-end.

ok fellas,thanks for this suggestions...
just one more thing

what do u think of the Modhouse MK3 and Sennheiser hd 660s ??
I have heard good things about them
Those are two headphone I would like to try.
The Massdrop/Sennheiser HD58X is also a good budget option, I use my HD58X every day :)

which dac and ampli ?
Currently using an Audio-GD NFB-11.28 DAC/amp.
Have a Darkvoice 336SE OTL tube headphone amplifier that I sometimes connect to the line-output, on my NFB-11.28.
My Topping DX7s should be arriving any day now :)

For headphones like the HD58X, a Xduoo XD-05 would do the job.
Or even for the Argon MK3.

I have the hd58x as well powered by audioengine D3 dac/amp. The D3 goes for $45 refurbished and $65 on drop last I checked so it's not too much of an investment to competently drive these from my experience.

I also have the same taste in sound signature that you do. I also have the Argons that require a lot of power to drive. I just recently sold my xDuoo XD-05 because it couldn't come close to driving the Argons. My suggestion for open backs with deep bass is the very underrated Monoprice M565. I pair both my M565 and Argons with the Emotiva BasX A-100 amp. I also use the Topping D50 dac. You can get the Emotiva, Topping and M565 for around $650. If you can find any of these used it would be even less. I also put ZMF protein leather pads on top of the stock pads for the M565 and it gob smacks me every time I listen.
