I recently acquired a SR-60 as well as a MS-1 and noticed that the back of the drivers (transducers) of both cans are silver colored with "GRADO 32" printed on it. There is also a small red dot painted near the edge.

I'm curious as to whether the drivers of other newly built Grado/Alessandro models, especially the higher-end models, are like that as well? Maybe we can get enough info to start speculating on the meaning of the red dot.

Here is a pic of what I'm talking about...

The MS-Pro and RS-1's which I've own(ed) in the past 2 years had all black drivers with no lettering or spot. A 10 year old SR-60 I used to own was black as well.

I believe the red dot identifies the signal. the other being the ground.

EDIT: never mind, I just looked at my ms-1's and the dot is on the magnet part...
