But man is this thing is pretty cheap. About $20.
Looks to be a good alternative to the portable butane soldering irons. Although, I doubt you can heatshrink with the Cold Heat Soldering Tool.
Their description of the "Cold" Heat technology reminds me of when you hook up a piece of mechanical pencil graphite to the anode and cathodes of wire leads from a battery.
It does note that this tool would not be good for delicate electronics soldering.
Also the cumbersome size of this thing would make delicate work more difficult too.
