I go to Letourneau University and they sell a few electrical parts at their store for practically nothing. (5-50c) So I was wondering if any of their OPAmps were worth getting. They have:
TL 081CP
LM 566CN
LM 741
LM 386N-1
TCO -81
LM 318
TLC 2272
KA 2209
LM 6144
LM 555
Lm 666
Are any of these worth getting or should I head down to RadioShack and see what they have?

Uhm, those are opamps, not DAC chips and out of the list I either don't recognize the chips or they're not worth it for audio (at least in signal path to drive headphones).

The LM386 can be used for headphones, such as in the "Boomer" headphone amp, but it's not very good, and the gain must be above 20x, not very useful for headphones.

I also wouldn't recommend RatShack, if you want, PM me your address and I'll just send you an opamp you can use for a CMOY, I should have at least one OPA2227 around.
