Got my M50s for $71 after a 20% Bing Cash Back. I also own the AD700s, and without break-in, the M50s definitely have more bass than the AD700, as expected. I've read that many people wouldn't use them for trance/rap, but playing Kaskade and Tech N9ne, the bass is pretty fantastic, not to mention tight.

It was from Nationwide Pro Audio's ebay store. Bing offers an 8% cashback normally on eBay purchases, but during Thanksgiving weekend they were offering 20% cashback.

I've owned the ES7 and I have a pair of A500s sitting around here somewhere. I would never go that cheap in a closed headphone again - next stop, ESW9 or DT250.

I sell sennheiser and they have a 2 year warranty, so you could look into getting a new pair if you still have the invoice. They usually accept phones for the problem you metioned.
