Dear all,

I am trying to downsample some tracks to make a kind of comparation between sample rates, to verify to myself if I am able to hear any difference. To be sure I am using the same mix of the song, I tried to downsample the tracks using "Switch Sound File Converter", which works fine when changing formats (for example, flac to m4c), but creates clicks and distortion when downsampling. I try with different formats and codecs, and all the time the same.

Any advice on how to properly downsample the file?

Other question: is there any way to carry a blind test using JRiver?

Best Regards,

Daniel

Best is if the original file is type of WAV.

If you don't use foobar2000 for the ABX (there are SRC and ABX plugins available) Voxengo has a free utility for the conversion - r8brain.
