I know it's been five years since you posted, but I stumbled across this thread and wanted to chime in in case you're still looking for a solution! I feel your pain when it comes to trying to get the perfect fit. I've tried the Comply wrap too, but I find it really uncomfortable and it doesn't stay in place. I've heard of people using clear nail polish to thicken the stem of their CIEMs, but I haven't tried it myself. I just found a great article on nail technology at https://www.nwcollege.edu/programs/nail-technology that explains the steps you need to take. It looks like you need to use a special kind of nail polish called cyanoacrylate.
