Hi,
I have a pair of UE5c's. Ultimate Ears, in the owner manual, says to clean the monitors with a disinfectant wipe. Can anyone recommend a type that is not harmful to the plastic the monitors are made of? Are alcohol wipes safe?
Thanks

UE used to sell on their website a produce called Tech-care Earmold Cleaner, which is a cleaner and sanitizer. The bottle is labeled as "Alcohos Free". I couldn't find it on the site when I checked a minute ago, but it may still be available somewhere.

I'll shut up.

I'm interested too, my Freqshows will be coming in a week!

Any alcohol free disinfectant wipe should do the job. If you can't find any, a slightly wet tissue follow a dry one will suffice

I don't think benzalkonium chloride (the main ingredient in the wipe) will damage plastic, but you should wipe your IEM with another wet tissue (after applying the antiseptic wipe) nonetheless since long term exposure to benzalkonium chloride isn't a particular good thing.
