I’m sure they will be right on it

Yup. I've said this many times, but I originally got the Mojo 2 to use as a portable DAC/amp. But now it almost never leaves my desktop setup. I'd probably have to spend at least $1.5k on a DAC to get something that felt like a worthwhile upgrade.I have been using my mojo 2 as my desktop dac for a couple of years now, and having auditioned a couple of supposed "upgrades", I'm very happy to stick with it for the foreseeable future. I also use it as a preamp/dac in my speaker setup & it excels. A beautiful bit of audio magic.

I'm happy there are folks who find big differences between DACs. I'm even happier to be among those who have never heard any DAC that "kills" another.µDAC @ $1k kills Mojo2![]()
Care to elaborate as the site is very disappointing?µDAC @ $1k kills Mojo2![]()

No you wouldn't - you could possibly spend $20K on a DAC and find no meaningful improvement. Equally you could drop down to $100 and find something that performs just as good.Yup. Some of the most highly regarded gear doesn’t measure well, and has a signature that isn’t just transparentNo you wouldn't - you could possibly spend $20K on a DAC and find no meaningful improvement. Equally you could drop down to $100 and find something that performs just as good.
DACs are, for the most, part completely transparent these days, and have been for over 20 years. The only exceptions are if the DAC manufacturer decides to impart their own sound signature on a DAC - in which case it can't really be considered as audiophile, or it's a complete piece of poorly executed crap.
If you believe this, then why are you reading or posting in a thread dedicated to a $600 DAC? Just buy a $10 Apple dongle and be done.No you wouldn't - you could possibly spend $20K on a DAC and find no meaningful improvement. Topping has very good stuff, but grimm plays an a whole another level, different price range, would be weird if it wasn’t.Lol Yeah
I would love to hear someone compare the Grimm MU2 to a topping Dac and seriously look someone in the eyes and say "as I thought...they sound identical".
Not knocking Topping of course. They make some good stuff...
