I actually already wrote about that in my original post.
As I wrote, Qudelix 5K lets you adjust PEQ from app. And the PEQ gets stored on the DAC itself so that all inputs can get EQ's - the EQ then has nothing to do with the app, until you want to change again.
that's the exact reason I wrote Chord should buy a Qudelix 5K, to see how simply this works...
If they do PEQ in future , I hope they don't put this in Poly, because then you are forced to use Poly as your source. Toslink and digi coax and other USB sources wont get PEQ
Which would require a companion app and a way to connect to the Mojo2 to download the settings. That's my point. Chord can't write software to save their lives. Even after 6+ years GoFigure is rudimentary at best. That would also require the end user to have access to the FGPA somehow or a secondary processor/subsystem to handle the PEQ portion. The poly is the only remotely logical way to implement PEQ given it is essentially a linux box and has a companion app.
Rob Watts doesn't write app software. Unless it can be done via firmware on the FGPA, he wouldn't be part of it. You certainly can make the ask though. It's not simply Chord copying Qudelix as it is Chord doing something fundamentally different in a space that they quite frankly do poorly (software and app design). And, how many people would actually want or use this functionality?
