I love Watts’ EQ. Don’t feel I’m giving up anything in using it. The broad bass shelf filter really really works with TH900, as its bass is articulate layered and tight. No bleed or bloat. A few clicks with that filter is SO perfect for TH900. Heaven!

I'm using my Mojo 2 as a Desktop DAC. I really enjoy the music it creates.
My question though is can i update the firmware on the mojo 2?
Does the Mojo 2 support something like firmware update?

Update only can be done at authorized service center. It’s only needed if you have white noise issues. No sonic changes.

Since i don't have white noise i don't need a firmwareupdate.
Yes. I ran it at line level into my Bryston amp driving loudspeakers. Did just as well as the onboard Bryston dac. Sounded super. Amazing little box!Nice, it may be a portable device but it sounds great in a Desktop Setup.

Wait, has there been an official statement from Chord on the white noise issue as being something they can fix with firmware update??
What is exactly this white noise problem?
I sent back an smsl sm500 which was driving me nuts because of white noise and swore never to buy chifi again...

Trust me it has every chance to generate bugs, sometimes just recompiling exactly the same source code generates bugs, don't ask how I know that.What is exactly this white noise problem?

Chi-Fi sounds racist, even if you don't mean it.What is exactly this white noise problem?

It’s a few posts back. If you have white noise issues, you can send it to the regional chord service center for firmware update. It has no other improvements from what I understand.

wow, just thinking about the €€€s wasted on trying to chase a cable that wouldn't introduce the white noise, and it was a firmware issue all along

The only thing I was able to find on the firmware update here was this video (more than a dozen pages back
)

…and actually based on that the firmware update neither is meant to fix the white noise issue, nor does it fix it. There IS a firmware update that relates to Mojo 2's connection with M1-based Apple devices, but as most of the people have had issues with their phones, that doesn't apply at all since there are no iPhones with that chipset. And not even a replacement unit fixed the issue for the creator of the video.
So looks like we're stuck with the white noise

I got the firmware update done hoping it would fix my white noise issue at 768k rates over USB, but it did not. So, it does seem to be very targetted very specifically to the M1/M2 based Apple devices and not the white noise issue in general.The only thing I was able to find on the firmware update here was this video (more than a dozen pages back)
