InterestingI haven’t done a direct comparison, sorry. I’ll try to do so tonight. I’m sure others here will have compared. However, streaming over my home network to Poly via wifi isn’t quite as good as SD card. The SD card always seems a bit more colourful and a little more “black background”. I assume it’s the same doing AirPlay.

People insisting that one digital connection sounds better than another are listening with their minds, nothing wrong with that but one digital connection will measure the same as another as long as its transferring the data correctly.
I'm off to buy some £500 plug fuses for the HiFi the last one just one I had just blew and my system sounds rubbish with the standard 13A fuse.

Dude, it’s not about the data. Never has been.People insisting that one digital connection sounds better than another are listening with their minds, nothing wrong with that but one digital connection will measure the same as another as long as its transferring the data correctly.

Of course it is, I won't argue with you though this isn't the correct place to do this, this thread is for the Mojo 2 not for discussing which cable sounds best IMHO.Dude, it’s not about the data. Never has been.
Then don’t make the point in the first place.Of course it is, I won't argue with you though this isn't the correct place to do this, this thread is for the Mojo 2 not for discussing which cable sounds best IMHO.
A little (or lack of) knowledge is a dangerous thing, they say.People insisting that one digital connection sounds better than another are listening with their minds, nothing wrong with that but one digital connection will measure the same as another as long as its transferring the data correctly.

I sippose one USB cable can sound warmer than another .
Send me a link for that fuse please, is there a comparative fuse review that you know of?

But Dude, it is! always been.Dude, it’s not about the data. Never has been.
you just don't know it.
Sometimes it's hard to tell the differenceWhite noise, not white rock!![]()

I seem to recall an exchange between us some weeks ago, perhaps even months, that never resolved. Perhaps we leave it at that? But Dude, it is! always been.
you just don't know it.

You do know that the difference between digital sources is measurable on the mojo 2? It has been done by several media. The mojo 2 is tiny and doesn't have super isolation on all inputs. The isolation is better than on the original mojo, but it will still be impacted by noise from the source.People insisting that one digital connection sounds better than another are listening with their minds, nothing wrong with that but one digital connection will measure the same as another as long as its transferring the data correctly.

battery operated sources do not cause the issue you mention. Nor does using it with headphones.
Only in case of a grounded source AND a grounded amplifier.
Ask yourselves, how come a wifi enabled Poly connected by USB doesn't cause problems.
BTW, when this issue shows its ugly head, no cable, regardless of price or design is of any use.

All this IS relevant here, in so much as it is about trying to get the best sound out of the M2. As to those who say that sources and cables don’t matter and bits are bits, i won’t rehash what i said several pages back. But I WILL reiterate that i am quite sure of the the differences i heard between camera adapter, Fiio cable, and ddhifi cable. Especially since i DIDN’T here any difference between two different sources. (No internal bias). I still say that there’s more to it than bits are bits. How clean the bits are presented matters to the DAC’s ability to do it’s thing. For any of you with big rigs, why does Aurender sound better than digital out on a Sony DVD player. Bits are bits, right?

Vocals were slightly veiled or slightly recessed and grainy compared to a fuller presentation with ddhifi thought i imagined this initially. Verified over several different days of quick back and forth using same segments of song. More evident at low level listening than loud. That’s how i first noticed it. I really am quite sure I’m not imagining this. And i was shocked because i assumed id here no difference. And I’m well aware of the critical review of DD Audio Nyx series out there. Stating no audible difference. I wholeheartedly disagree. Furthermore, the Fiio cable was more appealing to me from a form factor as it was more pliable and i liked the 12-20 cm length best. I still have the cable and wish it sounded better. But it does’nt.What difference did you hear between Fiio and DDHifi?
