Thank you mike for the quick reply. I'm using Sen HD598 and like the sound signature of this head phone. Want to upgrade the headphone with more of bass and wider soundstage. Is it possible to get the same from an IEM ? Pls suggest.
You might as well keep your HD598 and use the Mojo2 EQ to raise the bass level.
There are many iems out there with a V signature, that will boost the bass level - but you could instead get a neutral sounding iem, and use the Mojo2 EQ to raise the bass level.

People still need to know your budget - are you looking for $10, $100, $1000, or $5000 priced iems?

my budget is around $1000-1200.
Sony IER-Z1R. Huge soundstage, amazing Sub bass and great resolution. It has the least compromises/trade offs of the IEMs I've owned and heard. For inexpensive, Timeless 7Hz. $200 worth spending to figure out if the IEM thing really is for you.

You can check out Crinacle's site to see his rankings. You can see his description of the sennheiser headphones and measurements and find an iem he reviewed thats's similar to start. You'll get 1000 opinions on a 1000 IEMs otherwise. You'll end up spending more money than you want chasing what others like but you may not.

Hi, purchased Mojo 2 recently and preordered Poly. Using 6 year old Sennheiser HD598. Friends pls suggest a best sounding IEM and Headphone to pair with mojo 2. Thanks in advance.

There are no absolutes in this hobby, you should try to find out what type of sound you enjoy the most and don’t let item cost cloud your opinion.

Brand new Mojo 2 owner, on day 2 of owning. Day 1 I listened with just my iPhone and iPad via Lightning OTG and USB C. Everything was working and sounded great. Day 2, today, my Poly arrived. Configured it and was using it all afternoon. Working great. Tonight, I was listening via Airplay to the Poly, and out of nowhere I started to hear a faint static from the right channel. I tried all the troubleshooting I could think of, but it keeps doing it. It's a faint static like noise that comes and goes every few seconds and only in the right channel. What really surprised and frustrated me, is that the noise remains even with no data or power connected to the Mojo. Just the Mojo alone, powered up, my headphones/IEMs connected, nothing playing, and a faint on and off static noise coming from the right channel.

I've already emailed Chord and am waiting to hear back. I wanted to post here as well to see if anyone has had the static issues occur then remain with nothing plugged in. I'm also curious if anyone has any other troubleshooting ideas. Below are all the things I've tried so far.
  • Powered the combo down, waited several minutes, then powered it up. The static remained even before connecting to Airplay or playing anything.
  • Powered everything down, disconnected the Poly, reconnected it, then powered it up. Again, static remains.
  • Powered everything down, disconnected the Poly, connected the Mojo to my iPhone via an OTG cable. Static remains, again without even playing anything.
  • Powered everything down, connected nothing to the Mojo except my headphones (that is no Poly and no data or power connection at all). Static remains.
  • Tried different headphones/IEMs, each of which also has different a different cable. Static remains across every headphone, only in the right channel.
  • Tried each headphone port on the Mojo. Static in both.
  • Firmware updated the Poly to 3.2 (it was on 3.0 when this first happened). Static remains.
  • Attempted to play different sample rate music via USB C so that the unit was switching between sample rates (44.1, 48, 96, 192). No change to the static.
  • Disabled cellular on my phone. Static remains.
  • Brought the Mojo away from any other cellular or Wi-Fi devices, connected only to headphones (no data/power connection and nothing playing). Static remains.
The static noise is consistent regardless of volume changes or muting the Mojo. So disappointed because it sounded so good :frowning2:

Seems to be everything, at least that I have and can try. USB, Poly, even literally nothing connected all (just the headphones alone and the mojo powered up). Intermittent static with them all on the right channel.

Looking back through search it looks like @Charente had a very similar or the same issue and they had to replace it. Guess I will need to wait to hear from Chord :frowning2:

You may recall from a couple of weeks ago (or so) ... my MOJO2 was suffering from a consistent feint scratchy noise on the left channel. Many of you kindly offered suggestions.

Well, after contacting CHORD UK they put me in touch with the French country distributor (not the retailer) ... they asked me to send the unit to them. After a few days, they agreed to exchange my unit. I have now listened to it for a number of days, and the good news is that the scratching noise I heard before is not present on the new unit ... and nor is there any 'white noise' that other people are experiencing.

My chain is iPhone 11 > DDHiFi USB Cable > MOJO2 > headphones and IEMs.

I would go as far as to say that the SQ is better overall than the old unit ... but I am relying on my memory.

@Charente, how has the replacement unit been since April?
