Hey guys, I get some pretty annoying RFI when listening to my LCDi4 and Hugo 2 (connected with my PC via optical);
What is a good way to resolve this?

what are the rfi symptoms you can hear? Actual noises or a difference in sound quality?

have you got anything near? a server or a router or even a phone? Or I have heard noises and clicks through the system from one of the WiFi power extenders that use the mains wiring.

It sounds like it's the IEMs that are picking up the noise. Is it still there with other headphones?Actual noises when volume is low and when I touch the i4s

Just switched over to USB, rather than optical. Noise is gone without trace!

I have a rooter just under my server next to my amp next to my TT next to my iMac, no RFI through usb and it didn't matter before i got diamond ethernet from aq or sarum t digital usb or power cables the size of an inflated fire hose plugged into power conditioners. Yes you can't be to sure and its only money. Course I tapped out and don't own dave

It sounds like you had an non earthed charger connected, and by touching your IEM the leakage current from the charger was flowing via your fingers to earth, creating a buzz in your IEM. By connecting USB you were earthing the charger. You can go back to optical by earthing Hugo 2 - either use the ground of the coax inputs or the RCA phono outputs or the ground on the spare headphone socket.

I had that problem with Campfire Andromeda. You need to earth your system. I solved my problem with this https://ifi-audio.com/products/groundhog/ (the regular version not the + one).

Got it, thanks for the input Rob!
By the way, were you involved in 2Go's design as the creator of the Hugo 2 or was that done by a third party like in Poly's case?

No involvement with 2Go - it has the same developer as Poly.
