I keep being impressed with every (new) album i listen to or film i watch with it. I'm quite settled with my mods and dont feel like having to change anything.. perhaps start my battery project.

Slowly raising funds and patiently waiting for Quartet to be released and see if its worth it..

It sure will be interesting to hear the difference between a QMS/Dave and a QMS Modded/Dave, I'm hoping that you may get to give an opinion on that (in the dim and distant future).

If one wanted to add another DAC to the sysytem to complement the MDave, what would it be?

I have my Accuphase DC-37 for sale. May use the funds to purchase another DAC. I like having contrasting sounds in my system to flavor it up a bit.

Haven't heard it myself but MOLA MOLA Tambaqui is also an older design that has tested time just like Dave.

Dave and Tambacqui aren’t a million miles apart. If you want different, how about a TotalDAC? Or a dCS? Both much “warmer” and “fleshier”.

I have always run tube amps after Dave, headphone and two channel. The possibilities of flavouring the sound is then endless with tube rolling. It’s one heck of a rabbit hole though!

The Synthesis A100 is a tube amp. So, got that checked. It cools down the analytical side of Dave without loosing the Dave assets. Very good combo. It is my primary listening system.

I seriously considered the DCS Lina prior to the Dave. I heard it a couple of times. It may have been an alternative, but could not justify the cost. I paid for the Dave and Mscaler used.

Yeah, should get off the upgrade train. I'll just be happy what I got. Thanks

I would never buy a DCS unit after they flied a lawsuit against reviewer for publishing facts. Look it up on YouTube.
