Question for those of you with upgraded power supplies - how has this effected the headphone output for you?

I’m interested in both sensitive and insensitive headphones. Of course you wouldn’t get more headroom with an abyss or something, but do you get mor dynamics and bigger bass within the 1 watt or so that Dave puts out?

Sell MScaler unless you specifically plan on going to a TT2. Main reason is - you can’t do anything by with m scaler by itself..
I'm using the Mscaler with my Accuphase Dac right now. Sounds pretty good.

Streamers are one of the worst when it comes to depreciation for selling on. You have to virtually give them away when selling second hand.
That's an understatement. Streamers are the worst by far

Received the Audioquest dual BNC connector for the Mojo 2. Connected the Mscaler to it. Than proceed to A/B with the Dave as many of you have done in the past. Agree, the MMojo2 can run with the big boys. Specially, if you want to break from the analytical side of the MDave for a softer tone. Replace, well this may be a stretch, unless need some extra cash, hmmm.

I prefer the TT-2 to the DAVE, the DAVE is more "revealing" but the TT-2 is more musical to my ears.

Dave is truly a different beast from TT-2/Hugo for sure for good or bad. I can understand and value the preference.

It's like my preference for ZMF over Hifiman. Sometimes we just want to hear the music as a whole versus each individual instrument.

The upgraded SJ definitely gives more authority and bass to things like the 1266 TCs or Sus. It really changes things. I highly recommend a PSU upgrade. The SJ is what I did, but perhaps other options will work as well. The SJ is huge, so you gotta factor that in. However, stock DAVE cannot drive the TCs or Sus well. The upgraded PSU allow for proper amplification of the TCs and Sus. You could upgrade your PSU and be happy with the DAVE output. Without the upgraded PSU, you will be disappointed

I have the SJ as well and, while it is expensive and large, I found it to be a more than subtle upgrade.
