Id like recommendations about which amplifier i should buy/use with my MD5000, ive heard that the Purity audio K.I.C.A.S is a perfect match with them, but sadly the price goes as high as $560(custom build/Shipping), and thats not in my budget.

Any amplifiers in the range of $300-$420 you'd like to recommend me Head-fiers =)?

portable - nothing
deskside - audio gd C2C and a nice DAC

See my profile for the amps ive kicked to the curb with your equipment - the LD mk3 is not in my main rig - just an amp i leave around at work because I havent sold it yet.

In general solid state amps are recommended for Denons due to the ability to best control the Denon bass and due to the fact that these headphones sound fairly lush as it is without adding on tubes. In that price range, the Audio-GD C2C has been very well received around these parts.

Head Direct EF-1 also seems to be a very nice candidate..

^Agreed, this made my stock D5000 sound very nice in terms of transparency and soundstage, but I found it didn't control the bass very well (although this may be less of an issue with Markl mods)

hmm well they actually dont need that much drive, but I would agree with the no tubes sentiment.

I actually do manage to drive them very well portable (see sig), but the solution is out of your budget. so while I totally disagree with this ^^ statement (unless it was due to budget) I do think that in your budget you might be better with the audio gd C2C , M^3 or dynalo

Adamora in the budget you have set there are some very good options, some involve use gear. In no particular order:

1. Musical Fidelity X-Can V2 w/ PinkFLoyd Mods.
2. Graham Slee Novo.
3. HeadDirect EF2 w/ the USB DAC.
4. Elekit TU882AS.

Good luck.
