One of my friends was really upset about it to the point of tears and posting stories about how he changed her life. (They've met too.)
I told my brother about it and he reacted in his usual insensitive way: "Typical musician, trying to get publicity." I was so offended that I didn't even bother replying to that.
Although it's somewhat unexpected, when I think about it, I did see it coming, because his lyrics have been suicidal for the longest time.
I heard their new album for the first time today. I much prefer their original nu metal style (been a fan since the beginning), but it was still okay.

Tragic news. Suicide is an epidemic in this country and we must do something (more) about it. We have to get people the help they need before it is too late. No one should die because they did not receive the mental health services they needed.
