I came across this video on youtube

Basically the guy uses a $10 product which is some mold type thing used as earplugs, but sticks headphones in them while they sit in his ear and stiffen up. Is this pretty legit? I don't know much about custom iem's or anything, but I've heard custom significantly increases sound quality.
I'm curious to what everyone here thinks. Discuss...
